伝統と革新の融合を象徴する「Echoes」は、 熊本の「気品」、「プライド」、「奥ゆかしさ」を表現しています。
「気品」はプロポーションに。 「プライド」は構成に。 「奥ゆかしさ」は素材に現れます。 地下1階と１階は鉄筋コンクリート造で構築され、力強さとモダンな美しさを兼ね備えています。
一方、２階は構造を木造とすることで下階と対比した軽さと繊細さを表現しています。 外装にレンガを纏うことで温かみと歴史的な風合いを感じさせます。
「Echoes」は過去の遺産を尊重しつつ、未来への革新を表現する唯一無二の空間となっています。
坪井川は熊本の財産と考え、来訪者により近くに川に触れていただきたく各階に共用部としてテラスを設けました。 様々な見え方のする坪井川の姿をお楽しみください。

The commercial building “Echoes” stands along the Tsuboi River in Kumamoto’s Shinmachi area. It symbolizes the fusion of tradition and innovation, embodying Kumamoto’s “elegance,” “pride,” and “subtlety.”
“Elegance” is reflected in the proportions, “pride” in the structure, and “subtlety” in the materials used.
The first and basement floors are constructed with reinforced concrete, combining strength with modern beauty.
In contrast, the second floor features a wooden structure, expressing lightness and delicacy compared to the lower floors.
The brick exterior evokes warmth and a sense of historical character.
“Echoes” is a unique space that respects the legacy of the past while expressing innovation for the future.
Considering the Tsuboi River as a valuable asset of Kumamoto, the building includes terraces on each floor as shared spaces, inviting visitors to connect more closely with the river.
