２０２０年に起こった川の氾濫の爪痕が残る元繁華街に面した木造のリノベーション。
街の復興のシンボルとなるべく、人吉の特産品を階段(花手箱)や照明(きじ馬)などのデザインに取り込みました。
Asaba Coffee - Hitoyoshi's Cafe
Facing the former downtown area of Hitoyoshi City, the renovation of this traditional Japanese wooden building incorporates into its interior design some of the city’s renowned craftworks, like the hanatebako in the staircase, and the kiji-uma in the lighting. This choice is an homage to the spirit of recovery of Hitoyoshi City, severely damaged by a river flood in 2020.
